NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire• In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% from the year before.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to see this shift and expect an ongoing upward trend for months or even years.

Canada, not too far from the United States of America, is poised to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's amazing to see how tourism in Canada is recovering." "We are getting close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We anticipate that this increase will continue to grow as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 including 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they're immunized. Israel has already hosted over 600,000.
